Our Mission

We are a Heritage and Academic group dedicated to Discovering, Honoring, and Preserving our ancestor’ Southern Heritage and the History of the Veterans who served before us. Our organization is made up of people from all walks of life, including professionals from various career fields. Members of the public and private sectors, including Military Veterans, Law enforcement, and Retirees are involved in our non-profit activities and daily operations. We are non-political stewards and encourage good citizenship and participation. Our Objective is to preserve southern history, especially the stories and sacrifices of our Veterans, and pass this legacy down to future generations, through Education, Remembrance, and Benevolent Service.

We take pride in our good works, such as a participating in grave dedications for Confederate soldiers. During these ceremonies, our members, serving as the Rifle Honor Guards, wear their Confederate uniform to render honors and dignity long denied to these men. We care for the Confederate Cemetery as an act of respect and community service, lifting and leveling headstones, mowing, trimming grass, cutting brush, and watering the trees weekly.

CHARITABLE SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY

During the Christmas season, we extend our Benevolence by purchasing and collecting Toys for Underprivileged Children and Women’s Shelters as well as supporting those in need within our community.

PUBLIC SPACE MEETINGS

Transparency and Public Trust is crucial to the continuing success of our organization. Our meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at Casa Jalisco Mexican Restaurant $1, 6846 U.S. Hwy 87E, San Antonio, TX 78263, starting at 6:30PM, with members often arriving earlier for camaraderie. In addition, on the first month of each Quarter, we meet at Pueblo Jalisco Mexican Restaurant, 702 FM 78, Cibolo, TX. We open each meeting with an invocation from our Camp Chaplain and close with a benediction. We believe that all veterans are equal and stand committed to preserving our shared history, honoring those how served, and making a positive impact in our community through ongoing acts of service.
